Lou Maldonado

Growing up in the inner city of North Philadelphia, Lou had the good fortune to being introduced to fishing and crabbing the bays of the Atlantic Ocean at the tender age of 4.  It wasn’t until his “pre-teen” years that the floodgates of outdoor recreation and freshwater fishing opened.  Embracing his connection with nature, Lou immediately made continuous efforts to escape the City and wander the woods to fish, hike, hunt and camp.

When Lou’s not working crafting custom cabinets and counter tops, he can be found enjoying camping, fishing or hiking with his family.  Of course, this is assuming he’s not out supporting his daughter Isabella at a high school marching band competition or cheering on his son Keiran on the soccer field.  Lou can also be found studying the arts of primitive survival and bush crafts all while stroking his luscious beard and drinking a good craft beer.

Like Jeremy, Lou has also failed at catching a carp/ catfish in the local waters.

Jeremy Silva

Jeremy has been fishing since his early years when his Dad took him for his first trip at Lake Chabot in California.   Having caught the bug, we readily spent money on gear we did not need or use, but enjoyed fishing world-wide.  From catching carp in a polluted lake in Brasilia to catching a 120 pound white marlin in the Dominican Republic, he has continued to fish wherever opportunity has presented itself.    Jeremy’s specialty is mostly bottom dwelling species (Carp, Catfish, Eel, stupid Sun fish), but has dabbled with the Fly-Rod, landing some very slow-learning Rainbow Trout.

While not at his day job as a Senior IT Nerd, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, running, scuba diving, drones, discovering the nuisances of $10 whiskey, making wine, movies about gladiators, and screaming at the TV when the Philadelphia Flyers are playing.

Currently on a very unsuccessful mission to catch Carp/Catfish in the local area.
